Police: Garden City Woman Drove Drunk at 109 MPH

A Garden City woman was drunk while driving 109 mph on the North Fork Saturday morning, police said.

Jaclyn Santengelo, 30, was stopped by police for speeding on County Road 48 in Peconic, where the speed limit is 55 mph, at about 9 a.m., according to Southold Town Police.

Santengelo was determined to be intoxicated and placed under arrest, police said.

She was charged with DWI and transported to Southold Town Police Department headquarters, where she was being held pending arraignment.
