The Opening Reception for the "Quattro" show at Barnes Gallery had over 100 guests. Dignitaries included Julie Lyon, founding member and president of the Westbury Arts Council, former Garden City Mayor John Watras and former Garden City Mayor Nicholas Episcopia and his wife, Dorothy. Special guest and nationally-acclaimed figure and portrait artist, Steven Assael and his son were also among the gallery-goers. All came to see the oils and watercolors painted by four artists: Ray Guttadauria from Massapequa; Tony LaMarca from Westbury; Garden City resident, Suzie Alvey and East Meadow resident, Theodora Zavala.
Greg Schnoor, Barnes Gallery owner said, "It was a fabulous evening and we are so grateful for the wonderful turnout. A number of paintings were sold but there are more beautiful paintings available throughout the month."
The "Quattro" show and sale will continue through the month of November.
