Roosevelt Field Mall Robbery; 2 Women Sought: Police
Items from the H&M store were placed in a bag Thursday evening, police said.
EAST GARDEN CITY, NY — A robbery took place on Thursday evening at the Roosevelt Field Mall, police said.
Two women entered the H&M store. Loss prevention officers recognized the women from a previous larceny, police said.
They were observed placing merchandise into a bag and exiting the store without making a payment, authorities said.

One employee grabbed the bag of merchandise and a struggle ensued. One of the women sprayed a substance at the employee, causing burning in his eyes, nose and chest, police said.
They fled on foot and were spotted exiting the parking garage in a grey Volvo.

The 42-year-old victim refused medical attention.
