Roosevelt Middle School Collects Food for Community Members in Need

Roosevelt School District's 7th grade advisory club held a canned food drive to support local families

The Roosevelt School District’s Roosevelt Middle School 7th grade advisory club recently held a canned food drive to support local families in need. Working with 7th grade advisers Ms. Nesbitt, Ms. Godfrey and Ms. Lewis, students reached out to family and friends to collects cans of food. They collected 234 cans of nonperishable items, which they then distributed to members of the community through the school’s community liaison Ms. Rochelle Gooding.

This event was part of a Roosevelt School District initiative to teach students the value of giving back to their community.
