Santino Reportedly Secures Cushy Job After Supervisor Role Ends
Santino will reportedly step down from his position early to take a job with the county Board of Elections.

According to sources, outgoing Hempstead town Supervisor Anthony Santino will step down from his position a few days early to take on a job at the Nassau County Board of Elections.
Newsday reported that Santino is planning to step down from his position on Friday — three days before Laura Gillen, who defeated him in November's election, is sworn in on Jan. 1. Santino is reportedly leaving to take a $160,000 job at the Board of Elections as administrative assistant to Republican Elections Commissioner Louis Savinetti.
According to the town, Councilman Anthony D'Esposito will be acting supervisor until Gillen's inauguration on Monday.
