Welcome to The Sunflower Bake Shop. Summer is a time for sharing with friends and families, picnics, barbecues, and informal get-together in a more relaxed atmosphere.
Eating, drinking, sitting by the pool or beach and having fun, are top priorities through the summer season. With that in mind, the Sunflower Bake Shop is the place to go in order to serve all of your dessert needs and desires.
Are you vegan, vegetarian, and/or gluten free? Dairy and/or nut free? Do you or friends have allergy issues? Or are you just looking for that perfect dessert without any dietary restrictions?
You have come to the right place! We will have a conversation with you regarding any allergy issues, so that you can make the right choices.
All of our desserts are made from fresh ingredients without any preservatives - just like Grandma used to bake! We are a home-style bakery in a commercial kitchen.
As an added benefit, all of our gluten free products are baked in a separate, dedicated gluten free kitchen, ensuring a safe environment for those with celiac. We are also peanut and sesame free. We rarely use nuts, and have a protocol for their use, in order to keep the rest of our products nut free.
We have different types of cheesecakes, chocolate and yellow cakes, strawberry shortcakes( made with fresh strawberries), pies, tortes, brownies, blondies, and many varieties of cookies. Our chocolate mousse is to die for. We do favors and specialty cakes for most occasions.
We are also known as the Gluten Free, chocolate dipped gluten free pretzel outlet, with many varieties of milk, dark, or white dipped chocolate, drizzled or sprinkled. These make great holiday, hostess, or special occasion gifts. They are available in beautifully packaged trays or bags, or just loose.
The Sunflower Bake Shop also sells vegan and/or gluten free challah bread and rolls. Yes, we also have our small batch gluten out challah bread and rolls. All available at the Sunflower Bake Shop.
Exciting News: We will soon be introducing the “Savory side of Sunflower “. Vegan and vegetarian dishes will soon be available. Look out for future notices.
Since we are a customized, mostly to order bakery, we require 24 to 48 hours notice, longer for specialty orders, so we can accommodate your dessert orders.
We are Kosher, under the supervision of the Vaad HaRabbonim of Queens ( VAAD of Queens). So, please give us a call at 516 486 CAKE (2253), or stop on by at 346 Hempstead Avenue, West Hempstead. Help us make your wishes, our wishes.
We are open Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 6:00pm, Friday 7:00am - 2 hours before sundown, Sunday for pickups and special requests, and closed Saturday.
