Swastikas Found All Over Nassau Community College Campus

BREAKING: There has been racist graffiti on campus since October, but police are just revealing it now.

Nassau Police are investigating racist graffiti that was found at Nassau Community College Wednesday morning.

According to detectives, police responded to Nassau County Community College at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday after a security officer discovered three swastikas drawn on the B Cluster Building stair hand rail and on the wall. The swastikas were approximately eight inches long and were drawn in black ink.

This was just the latest incident of swastikas being discovered on the campus, although police had not previously reported any. Police say the other incidents were:

  • On Oct. 15 at 8:44 a.m., three swastikas were found drawn inside the E Cluster Building second floor men’s bathroom. They were drawn using a green magic marker.
  • On Oct. 28 at 9:52 p.m., the cleaning staff found two swastikas and an anti-Semitic comment on the wall of the men’s bathroom in the Cluster D Building.
  • On Oct. 29 at 12:40 p.m., security found multiple swastikas drawn in blue marker on the walls and urinals in both men’s rooms on the first and second floor of the E Building.

Detectives request that anyone with information regarding these crimes to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
