
2013 Northeast-10 Conference Women's Tennis All-Conference Awards
South Easton, Mass. - Adelphi University women's tennis brought home three nods to Northeast-10 All-Conference Teams, it was announced by the conference on Monday. Senior Maria Toft made the Second Team for No. 1 singles, senior Samra Redzematovic earned Second Team at No. 5 singles, and junior Gaby Adia was named to the Third Team for No. 4 singles.
Southern New Hampshire University senior Alena Mukdaprakorn was named the 2013 Northeast-10 Conference Women's Tennis Vern Cox Player of the Year, marking the second straight season she has won the honor.

Mukdaprakorn earns the award by virtue of having the best conference record at No. 1 singles this season, going a perfect 12-0 at the flight in 2012-13. The Hartford, Conn. native also combined with sophomore Diana Vamvakitis, who was named First Team All-Conference at No. 2 singles, to go 12-0 at No. 1 Doubles this season.
American International College freshman Manon Janin was named the 2013 Northeast-10 Rookie of the Year, as voted upon by the league's head coaches. Janin went 9-2 in conference play this year, all at No. 1 singles for the Yellow Jackets, and was also named Third Team All-Conference. Janin was also one of six named to the 2013 Northeast-10 All-Rookie Team.
So. New Hampshire head coach Greg Coache was named 2013 Northeast-10 Coach of the Year, as he led the Penmen program to the regular-season title and top seed in the 2013 Northeast-10 Championship, which gets underway on Tuesday, April 16. It marks the second consecutive season Coache has received the honor.
Stonehill College, which earned the No. 2 seed for the upcoming Northeast-10 Championship, led the way with five All-Conference selections, including a pair of All-Rookie Team honorees in Bailey Paradiso and Kirsti Toegemann. Saint Michael's College had five All-Conference selections as well, while So. New Hampshire had four, including three on the First Team.
The Vern Cox Player of the Year Award is named in honor of longtime Springfield College head coach Vern Cox.
