Uniondale Elementary School Students Learn to Code
Students Gain Fluency in State-of-the-Art Learning Tech Tools
Uniondale School District’s California Avenue Elementary School students recently learned how to use state-of-the-art educational programs WowWee and Osmo to program robots and solve problems using technology. Working in pairs, students used iPads to arrange elementary code fragments using mathematical modeling and logic. They then uploaded their code to robots to test if their code was able to complete classroom puzzles. This event was part of a Uniondale School District initiative to provide a high-quality education, preparing students for the digital age.
