Water Main Break In Village Of Garden City, No Hydrants In Area

VILLAGE OF GARDEN CITY, NY — The Village of Garden City announced that a water main break has affected part of the town.

The water will be shut down until 3 p.m. on Feb. 5 between Sackville and Roxbury Roads, the post said.

There will be no hydrants available in the affected area.

Officials said residents may experience discolored water when service is restored and urged them to run the cold water for several minutes until it runs clear. If it does not clear within that timeframe, officials said to wait 30 minutes and run the water for another several minutes until it runs clear.
