The Whitmore Group Supports Island Harvest
Employees walk to end hunger on Long Island.
The Whitmore Group and its employees champion many organizations and people in communities throughout Long Island.
The most recent commitment by the company, supported by 17 employee volunteers, was the 17th Annual Ellen Gordon 5K Run/Walk To End Hunger that was held at Eisenhower Park in Nassau County. The event on the evening of Thursday, July 12, was sponsored by the Island Harvest food bank.
"We hope that our participation, along with the participation of all companies and individuals, delivered smiles for the people among us who might be in need of a friend and a little extra help," said James C. Metzger, founder and CEO of The Whitmore Group, a leading insurance brokerage firm headquartered in Garden City.
