Woman, Critically Wounded, Stabbed Multiple Times In LI Home: Police

GARDEN CITY PARK, NY — A man has been arrested for attempting to murder a 57-year-old woman in Garden City Park, police said.

Andy Yeung, 58, of Garden City Park, stabbed the victim multiple times at his residence before witnesses heard screaming and called police, authorities said.

The woman was brought to a hospital and is listed in critical but stable condition.

Yeung was arrested Tuesday evening without incident. He is charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

He was expected to be arraigned on Wednesday.
