Police ID Woman Hit By Car, Killed In Front Of Nassau High School
Nassau police say they are still investigating the woman's death.
UPDATE, 1:50 P.M.: Police have identified the woman who was killed as Corline Cameau, of Hempstead.
ORIGINAL STORY: A woman was killed after being hit by a car while crossing a road in Hempstead early this morning, Nassau police said.
According to police, the 55-year-old woman was crossing Peninsula Boulevard at the intersection of W. Graham Avenue at 7:04 a.m. when she was hit by a 2018 Kia Stinger being driven by a 25-year-old man. The area is across the street from Hempstead High School.

The woman was taken to Mercy Medical Center and pronounced dead by doctors at 7:37 a.m.
Police have not released the identity of the woman or the driver. The investigation is ongoing.
