Woman Stabbed Dog After It Bit Her Infant Son: Police
BREAKING: The woman was arrested and charged with animal cruelty for stabbing the dog multiple times with a knife.

A woman from Hempstead was arrested Monday morning and charged with animal cruelty after police say she stabbed her sister's dog multiple times.
According to police, Stephanie Penado, 26, of Linden Place, stabbed her sister's dog with a knife several times in the face and back because she was upset the dog had bitten her 1-year-old son. The dog survived, and is being treated at North Shore Animal League for her injures.
Should Stephanie Penado have been charged for stabbing the dog that bit her son?Penado is charged with aggravated cruelty to animals and third-degree criminal mischief. She is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Wednesday.
