Woodstick Classic - An Instant Classic for the Ages

The four teams honored the memory of Eddie Blatz, Jr., a 3 sport star and captain at Garden City High School and a junior defender on Georgetown's lacrosse team, by wearing warm up shirts with a front emblem of EB and a lax graphic on the back featuring #14Strong.

In a game that takes on so much importance in the lax community, the t-shirts, the carrying of his game jersey by the team captains, the moment of silence and the memory of Eddie made this a very special day in which winning wasn't the first thought in everyone's mind.
