Police ID 24-Year-Old Woman Killed in Nassau Crash
Police are still investigating the crash, but say she jumped a curb and drove into a tree.

A young woman died Thursday night after a car crash in Garden City, police say.
According to police, the 24-year-old woman was driving a gray 2006 Nissan in the southbound lanes of Linton Road just before 10:30 p.m. She was near Poplar Street when she hit the curb, crossed into the northbound lanes, and then struck a tree at the intersection of Clinton Road and Garden Street.

The woman suffered multiple traumatic injuries, police say, and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was later pronounced dead by a doctor.
The name of the woman is being withheld until her family is notified. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
