10 Glen Cove Residents Arrested In Warrant Sweep

BREAKING: A total of 13 people with active arrest warrants were arrested Monday morning, police say.

Glen Cove and Nassau County Police arrested 13 people with active arrest warrants during a warrant sweep on Monday morning, police say.

According to authorities, 10 of the 13 people were arrested in Glen Cove during the sweep. Two women and eight men were from Glen Cove. Other men arrested were from Locust Valley, Farmingdale and Glen Head, Glen Cove Det. Lt. John Nagle told Patch.

Police say the arrest warrants were for crimes such as criminal mischief, criminal possession of marijuana, criminal possession of a controlled substance, petty larceny, unlawful possession of marijuana and various vehicle and traffic law violations.

The majority of those arrested were arraigned Monday in Glen Cove City Court or First District Court in Nassau County. These arrest warrants were issued from Glen Cove City Court and the Nassau County First District Court.
