On Sunday, July 9, Morgan Park Summer Music Festival will present 100 Years of Broadway. The free performance begins at 7:00 p.m. in Morgan Park.

Produced by the prize-winning composer and pianist Neil Berg, Neil Berg's 100 Years of Broadway is the nation's top touring company devoted to the timeless classics of the Broadway theater. Appearing with Berg will be Richard Todd Adams whose credits include Cats, Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables; Carter Calvert who appeared in SmokeyJoe's Cafe, Forbidden Broadway and the title role in Always.....Patsy Cline; and Rita Harvey who played Hodel in the Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof and was also in the Broadway and national touring companies of Phantom of the Opera. They will be accompanied by Berg on piano, Roger Cohen on drums, and Abraham Saenzon on bass.

"100 years of Broadway really gets back to the roots of our music festival which has been going strong for 64 years. When it was first founded the idea was to have quality free entertainment in the park for our friends and neighbors without having to go to Broadway or a Manhattan arena. We do that every Sunday for the rest of the summer. Come on down!” said the chairman of the festival, Tom Suozzi.
