2022 Memorial Day Parade, Services Planned In Glen Cove

GLEN COVE, NY — Memorial Day is May 30, 2022 — and communities across Long Island are gearing up to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice to serve their country.

In the City of Glen Cove, officials are planning a parade, wreath-laying ceremonies, and other weekend-long events.

Here's the schedule of events, per city officials:

SUNDAY, MAY 29

12 p.m. - Military Banner Ceremony, Morgan Parking Lot

Wreath Laying Ceremonies:

1 p.m. - Landing Road WWII Monument

Followed by the following monuments:

• Dough Boy Monument at the Glen Cove Public Library
• Ford Street Monument (corner of Ford Street and Forest Avenue)
• Elm Avenue Monument (Elm Avenue at Frost Pond Road)
• St. Rocco's Monument (at St. Rocco's Church, Third Street)

3 p.m. - Interfaith Service at St. Paul's Church, Highland Road

MONDAY, MAY 30

12 p.m. - Memorial Day Parade (begins corner of Cottage Row & Forest Avenue, through downtown Glen Cove)
