Administrators Honor Student-Athletes
Glen Cove High School hosts annual Varsity Winter Sports Awards Night.
Administrators at Glen Cove High School recently recognized the achievements of dozens of winter season student-athletes during the school's annual Varsity Winter Sports Awards Night.
The athletes were acknowledged for their dedication and school spirit and thanked by administrators for representing Glen Cove in each competition. Each varsity team also selected a Most Valuable Player and a Glen Cove High School Booster Award winner. The honorees included members of the swimming, basketball, wrestling and cheerleading teams.
Linda Perlman, president of the Booster Club, expressed her appreciation to those who supported the winter sports teams, and for their participation in raising funds for the school's sports program.

Dr. Scott Silverman, the district's Director of Athletics, Physical Education, and Health, shared similar sentiments, by thanking coaches, parents and students for making the sports programs such a success this winter.
Superintendent Dr. Laurence Aronstein also presented wrestler Daniel Belfiore with the Superintendent's Award for his exceptional athletic and academic achievements.
