• Glen Cove, NY Launches Cigarette and Litter Recycling Initiative (wasteadvantagemag.com) — Glen Cove has secured a $15,000 Keep America Beautiful grant to roll out a citywide cigarette-litter prevention and recycling program, adding specialized receptacles around town. Working with the Beautification Commission, organizers will place bins at approved city sites and participating businesses while educating adult smokers and tracking how much waste is collected and recycled.
