2 Dogs Rescued From Glen Cove House Fire, 3 People Now Without Home: FD

GLEN COVE, NY — Two dogs were rescued from a garage fire in Glen Cove on Sunday, fire marshals said.

The Glen Cove Fire Department responded to a two-story home on Stuart Dr. at 3:57 p.m. and was met with a garage fire, the Nassau County Fire Marshal's Office said.

Three people have been displaced, and the two dogs were treated for smoke inhalation, fire marshals said.

About 60 firefighters placed the fire under control within 40 minutes, fire marshals said.

According to fire marshals, the local building department was notified and the fire is being investigated by the NCFM's Office and the NCPD Arson/Bomb Squad.

Sea Cliff, Locust Valley, and Roslyn Rescue fire departments provided mutual aid assistance, all under the command of Chief Sujeski, fire marshals said.
