Another Little League Season Begins

John Maccarone Memorial Stadium was packed with hundreds of residents Saturday morning as Glen Cove Junior baseball and softball teams kicked off their season. 

The festivities, which are held each year to celebrate the spring season, began with a parade along Glen Cove Avenue to the stadium and continued throughout the day with games, raffles and more. 

Mayor Ralph Suozzi threw the ceremonial first pitch. 

Today's competition included instructional, midget, intermediate, junior and senior age level teams.
