Big Red Girls LAX Edges Past Spartans
Glen Cove's scoring and defense leads to 15-13 win against Elmont.
Glen Cove High's girls' lacrosse team earned its fourth win of the season Wednesday, with a 15-13 victory over Elmont.
Coach Jacquie Gow said she was pleased with her team's effort on both ends of the field, especially since the Spartans had speed as one of its strengths.
"The girls very quickly established their passing game to counter the innate speed of the Elmont girls," Gow said. "This allowed us to get the ball down into the offense and get a shot of before they had their defense in place. The girls worked so well as a team, with everyone being a contributing factor."
