Birthday Parties for Kids

It’s nice to throw a birthday party and not have to worry about the set up or clean up. These local places all provide a variety of different types of parties for both boys and girls of all ages and also have various levels of add-ons. Some even include food, invitations, and paper goods, although most you have to provide your own cake and goody bags. The prices below are for a basic party package. Bayville Adventure Park, Bayville: Parties start at $24.95 per person. Includes up to three attractions, pizza, drinks and invitations. Add-ons for an additional price, but may include goody bags, birthday cake, sundaes, balloons, arcade, adult food. Appropriate for ages 3+. Most parties are 2- 2 ½ hours.

Chocolicious, Locust Valley: Chocolate Party- Candy Necklace Making, Chocolate Lollipop Making, Chocolate Painting, Chocolate Pizza Making, Chocolate Dipping and Decorating, Chocolate Tasting, Goodie Bag, Pizza and Juice Boxes, Rice Krispie Treat Cake, Balloons, Paper Goods, 2 Party Coordinators. Monday – Thursday $325 for 12 children ($27.08 per child). $22.00 each additional child.

Claynation, Glen Cove: Paint-Your-Own Pottery Party, ages 5 & Up - 1 ½ hours in the studio. Children select from over 50 pieces. Receive a personalized party plate, slice of pizza, drinks and paper goods. Story time party for ages 3-4, 1 Hour in the studio, story reading and ceramic painting. Both parties $25 per child, $20 per person without pizza, drink and paper goods.

Garvies Point Museum, Glen Cove: Party themes include Discovering Dinosaurs, Native America Cultures, Native American Pottery, Birdwatching, Pond Exploration and Beach exploration. Cost $150 for up to 15 children ($10 per child), birthday child’s parents and grandparents included free. Additional children are $7.50 each and additional adults $3 each. Each party is 2 hours total: 1 hour of activity, 1 hour of celebration in private room. Must bring in your own food, beverage, paper goods , cake, and decorations.   

Glen Cove Movie Theater: private theater rental includes both 30 minutes prior to event and 30 minutes after, your choice of movie, party hostess, unlimited popcorn and drink, all paper goods, 3 complimentary birthday passes for the birthday child’s family. You are welcome to bring in whatever additional food you like. Monday – Thursday 10 a.m. or 4:30, up to 25 children $395 ($15.80 per child). $10 for each additional child, a flat fee of $20 for popcorn and drinks if you want for all adults who attend.

Gold Martial Arts Karate, Glen Cove: Basic party for 15 kids is $199 ($13.27 per child), $15 each additional kid. 2 hour party at the dojo, staffing for the party (2), two free weeks VIP passes for each kid, Board breaking for the birthday child, birthday child gets to wear Sensei's Black Belt, pictures of the Birthday, mailing of invitations.  Food, paper goods, drinks not supplied but you may bring in.

Little Star Children’s Salon, Glen Cove: Glamour Parties: Makeup, Hair Styling and Manicure. Up to 12 kids $299 ($24.92 per child). (Additional children - $20 per child). Food, drink, paper goods,not included, but they have a private back room and you can bring in whatever food you like.

North Shore Gymnastics, Glen Cove: Organized Games, activities and obstacle courses, tumblin' & bouncing on their tremendous trampoline and terrific tumble track, pizza and cake in private party room. $450 up to 15 children ($30 per child)- $10 each additional child. Includes: pizza, papergoods, decorations, and invitations. Not Included: Cake, Candles, Beverages, Party Favors.

Studio 44 Creative (Kathleen DiResta), Glen head: 44 Railroad Avenue in Glen Head. Jewelry parties for kids from ages 6+.  Different types of parties, including fused glass, but most popular is the "Beadazzled" Birthday party for 1 ½ hours. Each child gets a basket with 3 strands of beads, silver plated 'memory wire' for a bracelet and a necklace, a pewter charm (a flower or a peace sign), and a sterling silver disc that they hammer both a texture and their initial on. Parents bring plates, napkins, drinks, pizza (optional) and cake. They help serve and clean up. Prices starts at $25 for a base metal charm. Gift bag for their creations included and a little extra bracelet or gift in each bag.

The Little Gym of Greenvale, Greenvale: Choose The Theme (Gymnastics, Sports, Karate, Cheerleading), includes a qualified birthday leader plus an assistant, set-up and clean-up, all paper goods (plates, forks, cups, napkins), drinks for each child in the party room, pizza for all the children, balloon for each child. Parents provide cake & party favors. Each party is 1 ½ hours. $425 for 12 kids ($35.42 per child), each additional child is $15 (this is the non-member price, member pricing is discounted).  They take children from age 4 months to 12 years.

YMCA at Glen Cove: choose from a pool, gym (activities include relay races, scooters, obstacle course, balls, hoola hoops and/or specific sport activities ie: basketball, soccer, etc.) or combination party (extra). Includes tablecloth, paper plates, napkins, paper cups, utensils and invitations, party person assists with party set-up and clean-up. Bring in your own food, drink and cake. Parties are 1 ½ hours, Saturday or Sunday $225, for 15 children ($15 per child). $15 for each additional child. Must be a member.

These are a little bit farther away, but other popular places to host a party are:

Active Kidz, Jericho. Active Play: 1 1/2 hours including, 30 minutes of Adventure Maze or Toddler Center, 30 minutes of Inflatable Fun Zone, Cannonball or Glow in the Dark Dance Fun, 30 minutes in Private Party room. For 13 children- invitations, paper goods, party staff, pizza or bagels and drinks. Additional guests are $16.99 per child. Monday – Thursday $399 ($30.69 per child)

Chuck E. Cheese, Hicksville: Parties start at $15.99 per child for 2 hours and include reserved table space, paper goods, pizza, drinks, 20 tokens per child, party hostess, email invitations, and ticket blaster experience, inflatable crown, birthday sticker and foil balloon for the birthday child.

Pump it Up, Great Neck. Classic: birthday child and 12 friends will have 80 minutes playtime in a private area where the kids will jump, climb and slide on their gigantic over-sized inflatables and 40 minutes in a private party room. Additional guests are $16.95 per child. Includes pizza, beverages, free full-color invitations, complimentary paper products, party set-up, clean-up and more.  Classic Weekday Party for 12 (Monday - Thursday) $349 ($29.08 per child)

Little Chefs, Port Washington, Syosset: Cooking theme, choose from- cookie, cupcake, pretzel or brownie pizza making. 1 ½ hour party includes meal (choices such as pancakes, chicken nuggets, pizza with drinks and fries), and invitation cards. $450 for 15 children ($30 per child). Each additional child is $23.99. You may bring in outside food.
