The Tribute and Honor Foundation invites the public to attend its annual Announcement Event and Press Conference on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. at the North Shore Historical Museum in Glen Cove. The event is free and open to the public

The event will mark the official launch of the Foundation’s 2027 Awards season and reveal eight honorees from the veteran and veteran-support community who will be recognized at the Sixth Annual Awards Ceremony and Fundraising Gala on February 6, 2027, at the Crescent Beach Club.

“This is an opportunity for our community to come together and recognize the extraordinary men and women whose service, sacrifice, and commitment to others deserve to be celebrated,” said Foundation President Gaitley Stevenson-Mathews. “We hope veterans, families, friends, and community members will join us as we introduce this year’s honorees and begin another meaningful awards season.”

“It means so much when a community takes the time to remember and honor its veterans,” said Korean War veteran and 2022 Legacy Award recipient Ben Farnan. “I encourage everyone to come out and support these deserving men and women. It is a wonderful opportunity to show our appreciation and let our veterans know they are not forgotten.”

Farnan is the namesake of the Foundation’s Ben Farnan Scholarship Program, which annually awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors who answer the call to serve our nation in the armed forces.

Guests will have the opportunity to meet the newly announced honorees and join the Foundation in celebrating service, leadership, and legacy. All are welcome to attend.
