Bards Reading From Page One, featuring Ishwa, Hidden Legacy, and Kempton Boone Van Hoff: THE TRIPLE THREAT!

Come, one and all, to the Bards Reading From Page One poetry reading series, sponsored by The Bards Initiative! We run at Page One on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month, with a new feature every time, followed by an open read where everybody's welcome to read with open arms!

Bards Reading From Page One is a fun, intimate reading, with few formailites and even fewer rules. We welcome all forms and styles of poetry equally, including whatever yours might be, so there's no excuse not to come by!

This time, we're bringing in the Triple Threat: Kempton "Boone" Van Hoff, James Wagner (aka Ishwa), and Frankie Soto (aka Hidden Legacy)! Open read sign-up is at 7:30, the features start at 8, followed by the open read.

A line-up this monumental has NEVER been seen before anywhere on the Island, and likely never will again!  Be there, or you'll regret missing out on THE poetry line-up of our age!

All readings in this series are free to attend, but we greatly appreciate any donations you can give us. In addition, head chef and co-owner Jeanine DiMenna offers up a special $5 "bar menu" at all of our readings (if you'd prefer to see any of the other menus, please ask your server). We highly encourage you to come, relax, and enjoy some dinner with your poetry.

The Bards Initiative is an organization dedicated to connecting poetry communities, while promoting the writing and performance of poetry. A multi-purpose poetry project, the Initiative provides avenues for poets to share their work and encourages the use of poetry for social change.

In addition, the Initiative aims to make use of modern technologies to help spread, encourage and inspire poetry, particularly in the younger generations. It is the core belief of the Bards Initiative that poetry is the voice of the people and can be used to help create a sense of sharing and community.

NOTE: This is an uncensored poetry reading series. By attending, you accept that we are not liable for any offense you may take to the poetry you hear. Also, we may have our videographer at the readings to create videos for our Youtube channel. Being filmed is completely optional, as is participation in the open read.

Thank you, and I hope to see you all at our readings.
