Poetry New Year's Eve PARTY!

Poets (and you know who you are) and poetry fans, this is THE place to be to ring in the New Year! I'm throwing THE poetry party of the DECADE in Glen Cove this New Year's Eve, and you're all invited! Bring your poetry, your music, your food, your booze, and let's make it happen!

This is a potluck party, and I do ask that everyone please bring some food in lieu of an entry fee (I can make the stoves available to anyone who'd rather prepare their dish on-site). If you'd rather not cook or haul something over, I ask that you please contribute around $7, which will go towards purchasing beer, wine, sangria, and food for the festivities. I also encourage everyone to bring their own booze and share with the class, and musical offerings are always welcome as well.

Festivities will comprise of open poetry readings (no feature, and anyone can read or improvise whatever they wish), possibly watching the ball drop at midnight, as well as the general fun and comraderie of being with great people, eating great food, and toasting the New Year.  Other activities may include collaborative poetry writing, party games, and otherwise getting to feel like a kid again.

Please drink responsibly, as I will confiscate keys and call cabs for anyone who overindulges.

Once I get your RSVP by email, Facebook, or phone, I'll tell you the address where everything's going to happen.  Even if you're just a "maybe", please RSVP in advance regardless so I can give you the address and know to expect you.

NOTE: The listed start time is only a suggestion.  If people come early or late, they will not be turned away as long as I have heard from them in advance.  Also, if you plan to cook your dish on-site, please let me know beforehand and clean whatever you use.
