Nassau County's District attorney Kathleen Rice and Joan Philips, the president and co-founder of the Animals Lover's League will be holding a press conference on March 2. The purpose of this conference is to announce the large increase in the number of prosecutions of animal abuse cases over the past year since the begining of her office's animal cruelty unit.
