Free Dental Screenings for Veterans, Active Duty Military in Nassau County

Dentists will volunteer their time to provide free dental examinations, teeth cleanings and screenings for oral cancer.

Veterans will be able to get free dental care at the Freeport Armory next week courtesy of Nassau County Veterans Service Agency and Helping Hands Dental Foundation, a nonprofit organization in Glen Cove.

This will be the sixth Nassau County Stand Down event where Helping Hands Dental assists veterans with dental care. These free services will be offered on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at the Freeport Armory, located at 312 Grand Ave. in Freeport, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Free dental care and exams are just one more way in which to honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who served and sacrificed for our freedom,” county executive Edward P. Mangano said in a press release.
