Glen Cove Boys Basketball to Face West Hempstead
3-3 Big Red looks to gain conference win with after 71-56 loss to Manhasset.

Glen Cove vs. West Hempstead, Friday, Jan. 21, 2011 – 6 p.m.
After a 71-56 loss to Manhasset on Wednesday, Glen Cove boy’s basketball (3-3) is looking to go a game over .500 on Friday when they face West Hempstead High School.
Glen Cove struggled offensively in their game Wednesday against the (10-1) Manhasset Indians. The Big Red trailed 17-4 in the first quarter and never gained control of the game. Alessandro Troia led all scorers for Manhasset with 24 points and seven rebounds.

West Hempstead Tigers (3-3) are coming off of a 69-56 loss to Floral Park Memorial (5-1) on Tuesday.. McIntosh also added eight rebounds. Kijana Rogers and Juan Carlos Brito each scored 12 in West Hempstead’s losing effort.
As the second half of conference play in the Conference A-III began this week, Glen Cove is still clawing with West Hempstead, Valley Stream and Great Neck North for the final playoff spot in the Conference A-III.
