Glen Cove First Graders Set Sail on the Oyster Bay Waterfront

You're never too young to embark on a journey aboard a 125-year-old sailboat.

First-graders from Deasy School recently set sail on Christeen, a 125-year-old sailboat, during a trip to the Oyster Bay Waterfront Center

The students learned about the history of the boat and were even put to work, helping to pull the lines to lift the sails. They also had the chance to experience marine life up close during a walk along the beach, and enjoyed observing and collecting seashells and sea creatures.
