Glen Cove Hospital Appoints Chairman of Pathology

Glen Cove Hospital has appointed James A. Kraus, MD, as its Chairman of Pathology and Director of Laboratories.

Dr. Kraus has been a pathologist at Glen Cove since 2012. He is a graduate of New York University School of Medicine and trained in Anatomic Pathology and Clinical Pathology at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. He completed two fellowships; one in General Surgical Pathology (with emphasis on Genitourinary Pathology) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and the other focusing on Breast and Gynecologic Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

“Dr. Kraus has been a dedicated Glen Cove Hospital physician and we appreciate him taking on this leadership position,” said Susan Kwiatek, DNP, executive director of Glen Cove Hospital.

In addition to his role at Glen Cove Hospital, Dr. Kraus is part of the Senior Leadership Group of the Northwell Health Laboratory Service Line.
