Glen Cove Officer Receives Distinguished Service Award
Ted Karousos' dedication and commitment to the community made him an obvious choice to receive this honor.

A Glen Cove Police officer was the recent recipient of a Distinguished Service Award after he had a stellar year working on the job.
Ted Karousos was presented the award at a Nassau County Municipal Police Chief’s Association reception.
“Teddy Karousos embodies the virtues and qualities expected of a Glen Cove Police officer,” Glen Cove Police chief William Whitton said. “His dedication and commitment to the community made him a natural choice to receive this honor. “

This award is presented to one officer from each Nassau County Police Department for overall outstanding performance throughout the course of a year.
Besides working as a police officer, Karousos is a PRIDE instructor at Landing School and a Certified Field Training Officer for the Glen Cove Police Department.
