The postponement is due to the upcoming sale and future construction of Garvies Point. The City believes it is important to accommodate to the accelerated construction schedule.

A time frame for when the ferry service will take place is underway, Deputy Mayor Barbara Peebles said. The City first needs to wait for road access and parking matters to be resolved so ferry operators have more time for expansion planning.
