Glen Cove Puts the Spotlight on College-Bound Student-Athletes

Several graduating seniors have decided to take their academic and athletic careers to the next level.

The Glen Cove High School athletic department hosted a College Bound Recognition Day on April 14 for graduating seniors who have decided to take their academic and athletic careers to the next level.

The event was attended by students and their families, coaches, guidance counselors, Glen Cove High School administrators, Superintendent of Schools Maria Rianna and Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Technology Dr. Michael Israel.

“As a former Division I student athlete, nothing could be more exciting than celebrating the achievements and accomplishments of the students before you today,” Athletic Director Denise Kiernan said. “Playing at the collegiate level requires a tremendous amount of desire, determination and focus to be successful. Best wishes and good luck to all of you. Make Glen Cove proud!”
