Glen Cove Sees First Parking Fine Increase In 20 Years
The City recently increased its parking violation fines.
GLEN COVE, NY — The City of Glen Cove has recently approved a significant increase in parking violation fines for the first time in two decades.
Certain violations will be raised from $50 and $75 to $120 and $135. These increases serve to remind residents to comply with parking regulations, as well as enhance public safety rather than to generate additional revenue, Mayor Pamela Panzenbeck said.
The City said these fines are now more in line with neighboring towns and villages in Nassau County.
