Glen Cove Student-Musician Named All-State Alternate

Glen Cove High School junior Meghan Smith was selected as a New York State School Music Association All-State Band alternate.

Meghan auditioned last spring and received a perfect score on an extremely difficult solo piece of music that was performed with a pianist in front of a judge. As an alternate, she may perform at the 2016 NYSSMA Winter Conference in Rochester in December.
