Glen Cove Students Help Residents in Need

Students at Gribbin Elementary School collected non perishable food items to help local community members in need.

Led by Principal Francine Santoro, school social worker Kristin Brosnan and their classroom teachers, children decorated collection boxes in addition to collecting traditional Thanksgiving food items, which will be donated to St. Rocco’s Church in Glen Cove.

According to Brosnan, schools within the district joined other local community organizations to collect food for St. Rocco’s, who will distribute the items to those in need prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.
