Glen Cove's July 4 Festivities
The weekend will feature music, fireworks and a children's bike parade.

There’s something to do every day of the July 4 weekend in Glen Cove.
Entertainment includes fireworks, a classic child’s bike parade, and music downtown and in the park along with beach, picnic and playground fun at Morgan Memorial Park.

Friday, July 3:
Downtown Sounds 2015 series

- 7:30 p.m.
- The series kicks off with a free concert featuring Swingtime Big Band at the Village Square.
- Rain location is the Wunsch Auditorium at Finley Middle School.
Saturday, July 4
Glen Cove’s Annual July 4th Children’s Bike Parade
- 10 a.m.
- Meet at the Finley Middle School horseshoe at 9:30 a.m. for bike decorating.
- Kids will get the chance to hand paint a unique American Flag that will be displayed at Glen Cove’s City Hall. For the bike contest, winners in three categories (Most Patriotic, Most Original and Most Colorful) will be recognized with special prizes and acknowledgement by Mayor Spinello. There will also be free refreshments, giveaways and a patriotic singalong.
- Parade ends at Village Square.
- Rain date is July 5.
Northwinds Symphonic Band performs at Morgan Memorial Park

- 7:30 p.m.
- Northwinds Symphonic Band is under the musical direction of Helen Bauer with support from associate conductor Bradley Hartman. The band will play a variety of America’s Patriotic favorites.
- In case of rain, the concert will be held indoors at St. Patrick’s Church Parish Hall.
Fireworks by Grucci
- 9:15 p.m.
- The 2015 sky show will be curated by Fireworks by Grucci. Residents are encouraged to send their best Fireworks and bike parade photographs to the Mayor’s office for potential use on the City’s website and within the City’s marketing materials. Photographs can be emailed to July4@cityofglencoveny.org.
- Rain date is July 5 at 9:15 p.m.
Sunday, July 5:
The 2015 Morgan Park Summer Music Festival
- 7:30 p.m.
- The festival kicks off with The North Shore Pops Concert Band performing “Americana 2015” at Morgan Memorial Park.
Bags and backpacks are subject to search for contraband, including alcohol and fireworks.
Parking restrictions will be in effect in the Landing neighborhood on July 4. There will be no parking on Germaine Street, Landing Road or McLoughlin Street west of Carpenter Street starting at 9 a.m. Parking for individuals with Handicap Parking Permits will be available in the Morgan Park parking lot.
Safe boating is encouraged for residents who will watch the fireworks from the Long Island Sound.
