Glen Cove High School’s Student Senate organized and held its first blood drive of the school year on Sept. 20.

Members of the Student Senate signed up volunteers to donate throughout the first weeks of school. They also assisted donors with paperwork, and kept them company after their donation, offering them snacks and a drink. In all, the group collected 29 pints of blood for Long Island Blood Services.
