Halloween at Sands Point Preserve
First Halloween Ball to Benefit the Conservancy's Mission, Hempstead House of Horrors, and a Family Halloween Party.
Halloween Ball - October 21 at 7-11 PM
The Sands Point Preserve Conservancy will host the Halloween Ball at Hempstead House to benefit the Conservancy’s mission to preserve the magnificent mansions and grounds of the former Guggenheim Estate and to provide outstanding cultural and educational programming for children and adults. The evening includes cocktails in the mansion’s Palm Court and winter/summer living rooms, and braver guests can explore beyond to see spine-chilling scenes on two floors of the mansion. A buffet dinner of gruesome delicacies will be offered in the tented ‘mausoleum’ in the dead rose garden. Following dinner, a stellar Broadway cast will perform the cabaret, “Broadway Fright Night,” reprising their roles in Wicked, The Phantom of the Opera, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Little Shop of Horrors, among others - produced by Stephen DeAngelis. Wear a costume or come as yourself, and help ensure the future of this 216-acre waterfront park, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Individual tickets at $150 and sponsorship packages can be purchased at sandspointpreserve.org or 516.304.5076.
