Loggia Glen Cove Welcomes New Members

Long Island's oldest lodge continues its mission of community service, cultural preservation, and celebrating Italian-American pride!

Loggia Glen Cove Welcomes New Members

GLEN COVE, NY - April 6, 2024 - The monthly membership meeting of Loggia Glen Cove #1016 Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America witnessed a heartwarming occasion as the lodge welcomed four new members. The meeting, held on April 3, 2024, also marked the swearing-in of Trustee Janis Ceriello, who was unable to attend the Installation of Officers event held in March.

President Marisa Gambino, 1st Vice President Mark Galluccio, 2nd Vice President Rocco Totino, District Deputy William Sanfilippo, and the full board and membership joined in welcoming the new members, who were introduced as Frank A. DeRosa, John and Doreen Reali, and Marie T. Bonica.

President Gambino expressed her delight at the addition of the new members, stating, "We warmly embrace the newest additions to the lodge, celebrating their presence as a testament to the enduring richness of our Italian heritage.

Founded as Long Island's first lodge on April 10, 1920, Loggia Glen Cove #1016 has been a cornerstone of Glen Cove’s and the North Shore’s Italian-American community. Today, headquartered at 69 Glen Street, the lodge continues its mission of community service, cultural preservation, and Italian-American pride, sustained by a membership spanning generations.
