Man Drives Drunk on LIE With 3 Children in Car: Police

EAST HILLS, N.Y. - A Glen Cove man was arrested for driving under the influence on the Long Island Expressway with three children in the car, police said.

According to police, a patrol officer saw Alex R. Majano, 38, driving a white colored 2011 Toyota Sienna eastbound on the LIE around 5:20 a.m. Sunday. Police said Majano was drifting across the lanes and was unable to stay in his lane.

Majano was stopped after exiting at Exit 39 and police found three children under the age of 15 in the vehicle. No injuries were reported and the children were released to a family member.

Majano was charged with three counts of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child under 15, two counts of DWI and five traffic violations. He will be arraigned Monday.
