Income-Eligible Seniors and Disabled Residents Encouraged to Apply for Home Improvement Assistance
Glen Cove, NY – Glen Cove Community Development Agency (CDA) Chairperson, Mayor Pam Panzenbeck, is pleased to announce that the Agency is now accepting pre-screening applications for the Residential Rehabilitation Program.

The program, coordinated by the Glen Cove CDA on behalf of the Nassau County Office of Community Development, provides funding to assist income-eligible senior and disabled homeowners with essential home repairs. These improvements may include energy conservation upgrades, code violation remediation, and handicap accessibility modifications.
“Since the reinstatement of this program ten years ago, the CDA has been able to assist dozens of homeowners with critical home improvements, including roof and siding replacement, boiler and hot water installation, window and door replacement, ramp and chair lifts, and other necessary handicap accommodations,” said Mayor Pam Panzenbeck. “For Glen Cove homeowners in need, this funding can significantly improve their quality of life, and we are grateful to Nassau County for making these resources available.”
CDA Executive Director Ann Fangmann added, “This program is a vital resource for residents who require assistance maintaining safe and comfortable homes.”
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a Glen Cove resident for at least one year
- Own and reside in their current home
- Meet income guidelines
- Be current on school and property taxes
Pre-screening applications are available in English and Spanish on the CDA website at www.glencovecda.org. Interested applicants should click on the Programs tab and select Residential Rehabilitation Application. Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis, and funding is limited.
