NYLCV Endorses Leg. DeRiggi-Whitton’s Re-Election Campaign
Delia continues to be selected by NYLCV due to her exceptional work in protecting and fighting for the environment and public health.

The New York League of Conservation Voters (NYLCV) has again endorsed Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton’s re-election campaign. She continues to be selected by NYLCV due to her exceptional work in protecting and fighting for the environment and public health.
“I am very honored to once again be chosen by the New York League of Conservation Voters for their ongoing support of my work as a legislator for Nassau County,” Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton said. “A healthy environment and freshwater affect each and every person in the County. Advocating for and focusing on initiatives that protect and improve our environment are some of the most important things I do as an elected official.”
Just a few of the environmental initiatives Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton has helped manage and secure County funding for over the past few years are the remediation of a contaminated estuary that flows onto Glen Cove’s Crescent Beach, funding the replacement of septic systems with sewer facilities in shoreline communities to protect our water and connect them to a sewage treatment plant, updating sewage plants, and advocating for fresh drinking water by protecting our aquifers and other measures.
Julie Tighe, President of the New York League of Conservation Voters, said, “Legislator DeRiggi-Whitton has long been a public servant who is dedicated to protecting our environment. She helped restore water quality and improve wastewater infrastructure. She also supports clean transportation and increasing access to mass transit. These are some of NYLCV's top priorities and that's why we are proud to endorse her for reelection. We urge voters in district 11 to cast their ballot for her this November."
