The Garden Conservancy’s Open Days Program
Explore four private gardens in East Norwich, Glen Cove, Great Neck, and Old Westbury, open to the public for self-guided tours to benefit the Garden Conservancy. No reservations required; rain or shine. Highlights include a vine-covered arbor swing, formal English-style borders, an Asian-style garden with an aviary pagoda, a rescued Lord & Burnam greenhouse, a large pond with an eight-foot high waterfall, and trial gardens of newly hybridized rhododendron varieties.
When: Sunday, May 17; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Visitors may begin at any of these locations: Kippen Hill, 89 Walnut Road, Glen Cove; Kreye Garden, 1 Split Rock Road Spur, East Norwich; Tranquility Garden, 43 Meadow Woods Road, Great Neck. Directions will be provided to the Old Westbury location.

Cost: $7 per garden; children 12 & under free.
