Plans Underway for VFW Fundraiser and Awards Ceremony

Board and Liaison members from the Tribute and Honor Foundation met last week with VFW Post 347 members to discuss details related to the upcoming 2nd Annual Gala and Awards Ceremony. The event, benefitting VFW Post 347, will be held at Glen Cove’s The Metropolitan on Saturday, February 4th. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the celebration will begin with the Presentation of Colors and Pledge of Allegiance promptly at 7 pm. All are invited to attend and are asked to arrive in time for the opening ceremony. The 2023 honorees include Vincent Martinez, Sr. (LEGACY AWARD), William Lawson (LEADERSHIP AWARD), Dave Whitting (COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD), Tom Kenary (VOLUNTEER AWARD), Pete Prudente (HOME FRONT AWARD), Evelyn Kandel (IMPACT AWARD), David L Hubbard (UNITY AWARD), Eva L. Casale and TEAM EVA (FRONT RUNNER AWARD), Genalie Prezeau (HONORING AWARD), and Virginia Gaudio Cervasio (AWARENESS AND REMEMBRANCE AWARD). Tickets are $75 for non-veterans and $60 for veterans. Because tickets are selling quickly, to guarantee a seat, all are urged to order tickets in advance before January 30th.
