UPDATED: Man Critically Injured in Glen Cove Shooting
A 22-year-old was shot in the chest Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Glen Cove Police are investigating a shooting that left a man in critical condition on Tuesday afternoon in Glen Cove.
According to authorities, a 22-year-old man was shot in his chest at a home, located at 1 Eldridge Place, at 2:45 p.m.

The victim ran from the home after being shot and collapsed a short distance from the residence, police said.
Authorities found him on Colonial Gate and transported him to the hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. He is currently in critical condition.

Two suspects were also seen running from the home after the shooting, police said.
“We are considering this incident a home invasion situation where we believe the victim and shooter are known to each other,” Det. Lt. John Nagle said.
