​Ribbon Cutting Celebrates New Scoreboard at Pascucci Field

Glen Cove, NY – The City of Glen Cove celebrated the unveiling of a brand-new scoreboard at Pascucci Field on June 20th, thanks to a generous donation from American Community Bank. The scoreboard, dedicated in memory of Edward H. Capobianco and Anthony Cangero, was officially revealed during a lively community event that brought together local families and honored guests.

“It’s an honor to give back to the Glen Cove community in a way that supports youth sports and honors the legacies of two great individuals,” said Anthony M. Capobianco, President & CEO of American Community Bank.

The afternoon featured a variety of family-friendly activities, food vendors, and music—sponsored by KJOY 98.3—making it a festive celebration for all ages.

“This is what community is all about—bringing people together for a good time while investing in our kids and public spaces,” said Spiro Tsirkas, Director of Youth Services and Recreation. “We’re thankful for the support from American Community Bank, KJOY, and all who made the day a success.”

The Mayor, Deputy Mayor, City Council Members, and other government officials joined residents in celebrating the new addition. Also in attendance were three relatives of Mr. Pascucci, whose name continues to be proudly represented at the field.

The dedication of this scoreboard is also a meaningful tribute to those who gave so much to the Glen Cove Soccer community. Edward Capobianco and Anthony Cangero were champions for youth sports in our city, and their legacy will live on every time a game is played on this field.
